Vintage Las Vegas

Vintage Las Vegas

Before the glittery golden opulence of The Mirage and the singing gondoliers at The Venetian, there was a storied past to Las Vegas - where gangsters ruled the Strip and neon lit up the clubs and casinos of old downtown. The Vegas of the 40's and 50's and 60's holds a certain charm, even to those who had never visited Sin City in those early years, and the photos here seek to convey some of that charm. From the one-armed bandits and the feathered and frocked showgirls, to the neon signs that dotted Fremont Street, the spell of vintage Vegas grabs ahold and never lets go!
